Still Waters is an app that helps you spend intentional, phone-free time by detecting when you place your phone face-down and logging the duration as a session. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. I aim to collect as little as possible.

Your account and session data are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on Google Cloud infrastructure, and are accessible only to your authenticated account. Authentication is provided by Apple (Sign in with Apple) and Google. I share your information only with these providers as needed to operate the app, and only as described here.
I keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: open Settings, tap your account, and choose Delete account. This removes your sessions, settings, and account record, and revokes the app's access to your sign-in provider.
Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account through provider security rules, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Still Waters is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
